How to Become a Metalsmith on Lord of the Rings Online

In "Lord of the Rings Online," you must create a character and determine what his specialty will be throughout the game. To do this, you must pick a vocation for your character, which teaches him three professions related to that vocation. If you want to become a metalsmith, however, you can only pick one vocation: armorer. No other vocation uses metalsmith as one of its professions.

     Travel to one of the different crafting trainers throughout the world. This includes Alfwin, Jill Brushwood, Moror, Naerelen and Sebastian Stringfellow.

     Speak to the crafting trainer, who will ask you if you want to learn a vocation.

     Select "Armorer." This teaches you the metalsmithing, prospecting and tailoring professions.
