Instructions

    • 1

Hunt through the manor to find the portrait that contains the gargoyle. The portrait is in the main hall of the manor. The clue is in the coat of arms, but it has gone missing.

    • 2

Go and see Nigel in the library. Ask him for the coat of arms and he will tell you that he will give it to you if you pass his typing test and type up his memoirs. Agree to the deal and then press any key on the keyboard to start the typing test. You don't have to worry about using capital letters during the test. If you pass, Nancy will begin typing up the memoirs. If you don't pass you can try the test again until you pass.

Pick up the note Nigel left on the desk for you after Nancy finishes typing the memoirs. Leave the library and head to the gargoyle on the second floor. Walk right up to the gargoyle, hover your mouse over it and notice that the pointer changes to clockwise and counterclockwise icons on either side of the gargoyle.

Read the paper with the coat of arms information on it again. It says to turn the gargoyle "right, right, left, right, left, left, right, left." Click on the corresponding side of the gargoyle. Once you click the final "left," the secret passageway will open.
