How to Make the West Hall Secret Passage Appear in Nancy Drew: Curse of Blackmoor Manor

In the video game "Nancy Drew: Curse of Blackmoor Manor," a family friend sends Nancy to England to check on her daughter, who has recently moved to the estate, only to become mysteriously sick. When Nancy arrives, she finds a home filled with history, superstitions and secrets. To sort through the mysterious happenings, Nancy must explore the home and discover the hidden passage in the West Hall.

Instructions

- 1
  Go to the library and find the the portrait that has a gargoyle in the background. This is Corbyn Penvellyn. Note that his coat of arms is missing.

  Go to the library and talk to Nigel. He has a picture of Corbyn's coat of arms but will only give it to you if you help him type his memoirs. There is one catch, however. You must be a fast enough typist to satisfy him.

  Take Nigel's typing test. You must score 20 words per minute or faster on the Junior mode or 30 words or better on Senior mode. Once you do this, Nancy will type the memoirs.

  Take the picture of Corbyn's coat of arms off the table. Note the pattern of the comets on the shield. The first row has two comets on the right; the second has one on the left and one on the right. The third row has two comets on the left, and the fourth row has one comet on the right.

  Go to the Great Hall and click on the gargoyle.
- 6
  Turn it according to the pattern on the coat of arms: twice to the right, once to the left, once to the right, twice to the left and finally once to the right. The secret passage will appear.
