How to Make Money in Ragnarok Early

Loot everything that drops after you kill a monster. Everything will sell to a vendor for some Zeny, and it will add up. Develop this habit early and practice it even when your characters are at higher levels.

Create a character that specializes in killing monsters. These characters are known as hunting characters. Hunting characters are used for killing mobs that drop rare and expensive items. Classes that are efficient for hunting include hunters and assassins.

Create a merchant character and take the skills Overcharge and Discount. Characters with Overcharge will sell items to vendors for higher than the default price, and characters with Discount can purchase items from vendors for lower than the default price. Your merchant character should be in charge of purchasing every vendor item you need and selling every drop you receive.

Kill Smokies for their loot; this can be very lucrative for lower-level characters. Smokies are very easy to kill and drop rare Kitty Bands, which are used to make other items that sell for lots of Zeny to vendors. Smokies also drop items such as Potatoes, Animal Skins and Raccoon Dolls, which also sell to vendors for a lot of Zeny, especially when Overcharged by your merchant character.
