Things You'll Need
Instructions
Open your "Call of Duty 4" directory and access the main folder. The install location varies for all users, but the default location is C: Program Files\Activison\Call of Duty 4\main.
Rename several iw files. Rename iw_00.iwd to localized_english_aa.iwd; iw_01.iwd to localized_english_aab.iwd; iw_02.iwd to localized_english_aac.iwd; iw_03.iwd to localized_english_aad.iwd; iw_04.iwd to localized_english_aae.iwd; iw_05.iwd to localized_english_aaf.iwd and name iw_06.iwd to localized_english_aag.iwd.
Right-click in an empty spot in the main folder and create a new WinRAR ZIP archive. Name the archive localized_english_aw07.iwd. This archive will hold the modded skins that you wish to install into the game.
Open the archive you just created and create a folder within called "images." This is where the .iwi files will go. The .iwi files are the skins that you wish to install.
Choose the skin that you wish to install. Skins can be found at www.fpsbanana.com. These skins range anywhere from higher resolution versions of current in-game skins to brand new weapon designs, such as chrome plated weaponry or neon green pistols. After selecting the skin you wish to use, download and open the file.
Create a new folder on your desktop called COD 4 Skins. Extract the skin files into that folder so that you can easily access them and install them into the game. From the COD 4 Skins folder, drag the skins into the image folder of your localized_english_aw07.iwd archive. This will place the skins in the game.
