How to Kill the Dragon in Maxos Tower in Divinity II

Divinity II: Ego Draconis is the 2008 Xbox 360, PS3 and PC sequel to the PC exclusive Divine Divinity, released in 2002. The title "Ego Draconis" refers to the fact that the player character can transmogrify into a dragon for certain puzzles and combat scenarios. One of these scenarios is to defeat the dragon, Amdusias, in Maxos Tower. In this scenario, normal combat attacks seem to have no effect.

Instructions

  Go upstairs from the level that the dragon Amdusias is lurking in. Here, you'll find a bookcase. Use it to access a secret room. Grab the key in the secret room, as well as the vial of blood.

  Head downstairs to the altar room where the locked chest is. Pick up the dragon scales from the floor, then take the spell book. Return to the level where the librarian is.
- 3
  Speak to the librarian and give him the book, the scales and the vial of blood. The librarian will cast the counter-spell, turning to Amdusias into a human. The human form of Amdusias can be killed easily with normal, ranged or magic attacks.
