Dark Orbit Keys Instructions

DarkOrbit players must venture into an imaginary universe and explore unknown galaxies in an effort to help human civilization survive, and battle threats in a ongoing war. To fight effectively in the game, players can select from a multitude of battle and exploration menu items. For faster play, there are preset options which can be initiated with the quick stroke of a keyboard key. Each player can also create hot keys utilizing the number keys 0 through 9 at the top of their keyboard.

Use Assigned Shortcuts

  Press the "J" key to execute a portal jump.

  Change the configuration of the ship by pressing "C."

  Click the "J" key to jump when in close proximity to a jump gate.

  Press the "Ctrl" key to begin a laser attack against your opponent.

  Hold down the "H" key to minimize the size of all open windows. Press "H" again to reopen all windows.

  Tap the "L" key to logout of DarkOrbit.
Assign shortcuts in the Shortcut Bar

  Click on the "Padlock" symbol on the screen to unlock the Inventory Bar.

  Drag the "Inventory Bar" using the triangle in the upper left-hand corner to any place on the screen. Notice that the Inventory Bar has two separate levels.

  In the second level, drag the weapons buttons you want to assign to a keyboard shortcut into open slots 0 through 9.

  Press keys 0 through 9 to initiate a particular weapon.
