How to Take Out the Chains in Kal'hirol in Dragon Age

Dragon Age: Awakening is a downloadable content expansion pack to 2009's Dragon Age, developed by Bioware and published by EA. In this expansion, which takes place six months after the end of the main story of Dragon Age, your character travels to Vigil's Keep to assume command of the Grey Wardens in this territory. Part of your mission takes you into Kal'hirol to destroy the spawning grounds of a Darkspawn army.

Instructions

- 1
  Enter Kal'hirol Lower Reaches and trigger the boss fight with the Lost and the Inferno Golem. Defeat them and take the items they drop. This will trigger the next mission.

  Proceed west toward the pit in the Lower Reaches. Defeat the tentacles along the way or they will block you from proceeding.
- 3
  Attack the chains at each corner of the pit with a strong attack in real-time. Whenever one of the chains is broken, a short cut scene will play, showing the chains weakening further. Once all the chains are broken, the spiked ball will fall into the pit, killing the brood mothers at the bottom.
