How to Put Scripts on Tribes

Putting on scripts in "Tribes" allows users to modify the game with fun enhancements that improve or change the game fundamentals in fun and creative ways. Using scripts in "Tribes" requires creating a new text file to which scripts are added, and then accessing that file in game to enable the scripts. Turning scripts on might seem challenging and complex at first, but with the right instructions you'll get the hang of things quickly.

Instructions

    • 1

Download "MT Pack v1.0" from Planet Tribes' website. Click on "Start" and type in "Tribes/config" into the file search box and press "Enter" on the keyboard.

    • 2

Right click on the "Tribes config" folder and click on "Copy." Store the copied folder on your desktop or in a safe area so you can reset your configurations in the future after changing configurations when using scripts.

    • 3

Click on "Start," type in "Tribes" and press "Enter" on the keyboard. Double click on the "Tribes" folder and create a new text file in the folder by right clicking, clicking on "New" and selecting "Text."

    • 4

Name the file "autoexec.cs." Double click on the new text file to open it and paste or write "Tribes" scripts into the file.

    • 5

Start "Tribes" and click on "Options" on the start screen. Set the scripts that you want to enable in game by clicking on "Scripts" in the options menu, clicking on "MT Favorites," and click on the one(s) and select a function key, keys that start with an F, "F4" for example, you want associated with the script(s).

    • 6

Exit the options menu and start a game of "Tribes." Press the function button associated with a script to enable the script.
