Instructions
Double click the UnrealEd icon to open the program.
Click the "Texture" window inside UnrealEd, then click the tab marked "Actor Classes."
Click "Pawn," then "UnrealPawn," then "xPawn" to highlight these three items in the directory that pops up.
Click the "Animations" tab.
Click the open folder icon under the "Animations" tab.
Double click the name of the character whose mesh you would like to export. Make note of it for use later.
Click "File," then "Open" and open any map file.
Right click anywhere in the map file and choose "AddxPawn" here. This will make your character appear.
Choose "Display" from the tool bar.
Highlight the Mesh.
Type the name of your character's mesh in the text box. This name will have been displayed in Step 6. As an example, if you were exporting Skarrj Anims's mesh, you would need to type SkaarjAnims.SkaarkUT2004, which would have been displayed when you clicked his name in Step 6.
Right click on your character in the map and select "Convert," then the "Static Mesh" option.
Type the name you want your project to have in the top and bottom dialogue boxes of the pop-up that appears.
Click "File" then "New."
Click "View" then "Show Static Mesh Browser."
Select the name of your project from the drop-down menu that pops up.
Click the button on the bottom of the box that appears to be two blocks on top and one on the bottom. This will put the wireframe of the model you wanted in the level.
Click "File" then "Export." This will export the character mesh.
