How to Import My Own Characters Into Baldur's Gate 2

"Baldur's Gate 2" is a computer role-playing game by Bioware released in 2000 and is the sequel to the popular "Baldur's Gate."The game boasts many of the same features as the first installment, including the ability to create your own characters and place them in the game. Players who have become attached to their characters in the first game can import them into the second installment and continue their grand adventure.

Instructions

Exporting the Characters

  Start "Baldur's Gate" and load your last saved file.

  Click the "Record" button on the left side of the screen.

  Press the "Export" button to save and export your characters. Make sure to name the file something familiar to you.

  Quit "Baldur's Gate."
Importing the Characters

  Navigate to the "Baldur's Gate" folder on your computer and find the folder entitled Characters.

  Highlight your exported characters file (determined by the name you chose during exporting), right-click and choose "Copy."

  Navigate to the "Baldur's Gate 2" folder and then to the Characters folder.

  Right-click in the folder and select "Paste" to put your characters file in the second game's folder.

  Start "Baldur's Gate 2" and click "Import" to import your characters. Select the characters file you named yourself and enjoy using your original characters in a new game.
