How to Make People Start Out With Flamethrowers on Halo: Combat Evolved

The Xbox version of "Halo: Combat Evolved" contains many customization features for its players; the PC version of the game was the first to include online multi-player and a breadth of new weapons unavailable in the game's other iteration. Among these weapons is the M7057 Defoliant Projector, which is a fire-breathing flamethrower. The weapon is extremely lethal, particularly at close range, which can make finding one in a match very rare. However, the game offers the option to give each player one each time they respawn.

     Start a multi-player match. By default, a lobby for the match will be created.

     Click "Map Options" from the match's lobby.

     Click the "M7057 Defoliant Projector" from the drop-down list in the "Weapon Deployment" field.

     Click "OK" to save your changes at the bottom-right of the screen. Each player will spawn with a flamethrower throughout the match.
