The Best Locations to Mine Bronze in World of Warcraft

Bronze cannot be directly mined in "World of Warcraft." Miners create it by combining a copper bar and tin bar to form two bronze bars. This means that miners must mine copper and tin ore to create bronze. Both of these metals can be found across virtually every lower level area in the game. Some areas are preferable due to the presence of higher concentrations of tin or copper deposits.
  1. Durotar

    • Durotar is the best place for Horde players to gain copper. Deposits of copper ore can be found in almost the entire zone, except the Valley of Trials. There are a large number of deposits in the area surrounding Razor Hill, which is located on the east side of Durotar about halfway up the map. Further north is Drygulch Ravine. This has an even larger number of deposits, but is a little slower to navigate. Both areas are about equally good for mining copper to make bronze as a result. The entrance to Orgimmar, one of the major Horde cities, is located in Durotar. This allows you to quickly access the bank, auction house, mining trainer, forge and every other significant non-player character service and merchant.

    Elwynn Forest

    • Elwynn Forest is the best choice for Alliance players to gain copper. The copper deposits here are much more concentrated than in Durotar. The most worthwhile places to mine copper ore are Fargodeep Mine and Jasperlode Mine. Fargodeep Mine is located directly south of Goldshire. Jasperlode Mine is located directly north of the Tower of Azora. The entrance to Stormwind, one of the major Alliance cities, is located in Elwynn Forest. You can access the bank, auction house, mining trainer, forge and every other significant non-player character service and merchants from this city.

    Northern Stranglethorn

    • Northern Stranglethorn has high concentrations of tin ore across nearly the entire zone. This is an excellent place to gather tin ore to make bronze if you already have a surplus of copper. The rocky area near the center of the zone is one of the better choices to mine in this area. It is located directly northeast of Grom'gol Base Camp and southwest of Venture Base Camp. This is a contested zone, so both Alliance and Horde players have an equally easy time of reaching these deposits.

    Hillsbrad Foothills

    • The Ruins of Alterac in the Hillsbrad Foothills is one of the best places to get tin ore. The ruins can be found in the northern section of this zone. The only crossroads that turn north off the main path takes you straight to the ruins. You need to get copper ore from another area to make bronze. This is a Horde controlled area. The ruins itself does not have any Horde guards, which means Alliance players can still mine there. However, it may be too difficult and dangerous for Alliance players on player versus player servers to mine here without being attacked by Horde players in the same area.
