LEGO Halo Banshee Building Instructions

"Halo" is a first-person shooter video game series that began in 2001. The banshee is a speedy aircraft from the series that is frequently used by Master Chief in the story mode. This aircraft is purple, but Lego bricks in this color are very rare. If you have a stockpile of purple blocks then by all means use them to make a Lego banshee. If not, then blue is the best substitute.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach two 10 by 1 bricks to the last six connector dots on the right side of a 7 by 2 brick.

    • 2

Add a 6 by 4 flat piece to the two 10 by 1 pieces, starting at the second row. Fix two 4 by 1 bricks to either side of the underside of the 6 by 4 piece, placing them on the right side.

    • 3

Fix a 4 by 2 brick on top of the 6 by 4 brick, starting at the right edge. Place a 2 by 1 rotating piece on top of this brick at its right edge, and a 4 by 1 brick that has studs along its sides and top, one or each side of the 6 by 4 brick.

    • 4

Take a pair of 2 by 1 pieces with a claw on one side and a flat extension on the other. Join them together via the extensions, and place it along side one the 4 by 1 bricks you just added, so it hangs off the edge. Add another one next to the first one.

    • 5

Repeat Step 4 for the other side.

    • 6

Attach a 3-dotted, flat, L-shaped piece on the first square of the pieces you just added, to each side. Push a 4 by 4, flat, square into what remains of the previous square-shape. The L-shaped pieces will wrap around the corners of the flat 4 by 4 square.

    • 7

Connect a 4 by 1 quarter cylinder on either side of the square, starting at the second row.

    • 8

Place a pair of 1 by 4 bricks, with extra connecting pieces on the side, together, and place a 2 by 1 brick at the top to make a longer rectangle. Clip a 2 by 2 flat piece to the top to keep them together.

    • 9

Attach a one-dotted brick to a corner of a 4 by 1 flat piece. If the coordinates of this brick are "1,1," then place a 2 by 1 brick at "3,3" and "3,4."

    • 10

Place a 2 by 1 flat piece to the right of this, with a claw-connector on one side. Add a flat 1-dotted piece to other half of this piece.

    • 11

Place a 4-dotted trapezium-shaped piece on top of another. Stick a claw on the bottom right connecting dot. Attach the claw to the claw-connector from the previous step.

    • 12

Make the same construction as you did in Steps 10 and 11. However, place the claw and claw-connectors on the left side instead of the right.

    • 13

Attach both of these constructions to either side of the rectangle you created, with connectors on the side.

    • 14

Connect a curved brick with a heightened, protruding flat piece to one side of a 4 by 1 flat piece, with a 2 by 1 brick on a right-angle. Fix a 2 by 1 brick to the remaining dots.

    • 15

Place a 2 by 1 flat piece with one connecting dot to the center and stick a light-stud on this dot. Secure a 4 by 1 quarter cylinder piece to the 2 by 1 piece on the side, then clip a four-dotted trapezium and 4 by 1 flat piece underneath. Fix the other quarter cylinder next to the first.

    • 16

Repeat the last two steps but put the curved piece on the left side. Place these on either side of the main construction, just above the claws.

    • 17

Push two trapeziums together to create a hexagon. Attach these to the end of a 6 by 2 flat piece.

    • 18

Clip a pair of 2 by 1 wedge pieces to the top of the hexagon, where the rectangle ends underneath. Fix a 2 by 1 flat piece next to them.

    • 19

Push two tube pieces into the bottom of 2 by 1 brick. Attach a 2 by 1 wedge piece to the top. Fix the whole thing to the bottom of the rectangle, on the same side as the hexagon.

    • 20

Secure 6 by 2 brick to the remaining dots at the top of the flat rectangle. Push the same-sized flat piece on top, one row along. Place an identical piece on, starting at the row you missed. Add a pair of 2 by 1 bricks next to the rectangular brick and two 2 by 1 wedges next to these.

    • 21

Attach the smaller section to the 2 by 1 rotating piece.

    • 22

Secure a 4 by 1 piece with a 2 by 1 attached on a 90 degree angle to the smallest point of an 8 by 3 flat piece with a diagonal side. Clip a quarter cylinder onto it and a 2 by 1 flat piece right next to it, along the edge.

    • 23

Fix a hollow 4 by 2 brick to the three-dotted-side of the 8 by 3 piece. Push two studs into a 2 by 1 brick and place it in the gap.

    • 24

Place a double 2 by 1 joint piece next to a 2 by 1 and a 6 by 1, to make an 10 by 1 with an extra rotating piece. Stick a smooth 10 by 1 over the top. Attach the rotating piece underneath the 8 by 3 piece, on the long edge and one row from the end.

    • 25

Repeat Steps 22 to 24, so you now have two constructions. Attach the parts with the hollow ends to the top of the claw pieces. Rotate the claw pieces on a 45 degree angle and do the same with the top piece to complete your banshee.
