How to Remove the Chat Option on World of Warcraft

"World of Warcraft" is a hugely popular multiplayer online role-playing game played by millions of people every day. The chat interface allows players to interact with one another, either helping or hindering each other as they attempt to complete quests. However, sometimes the constant scrolling of the chat window can be distracting to players. While the game doesn't offer a built-in way to hide the chat window, you can download an add-on that lets you hide it easily.

     Close World of Warcraft.

     Go to the WoW Interface website's "HideChatButton" page.

     Download the HideChatButton add-on by clicking "Download" at the top of the page.

     Unzip the file in the "Interface" > "Add-ons" folder for your World of Warcraft game.

     Open World of Warcraft. Navigate to the "Character Select" screen, and enable the HideChatButton add-on.
