How to Connect to Minecraft Beta

"Minecraft" is a popular three-dimensional computer game under development since May 2009 with more than 10 million registered users as of this publication date. In December 2010, the developer released the beta version of the game, which added numerous new features and blocks to increase the already expansive gameplay available in "Minecraft." If you want to connect to the beta version of the game, you must register an account, purchase the game and then connect through the browser.

  Go to the "Minecraft" website. Click "Register."

  Fill out the form, which includes adding your email address, username and selecting a password. Click "Register."

  Click "Buy Now," followed by your method of payment. Check that you have agreed to the terms.

  Click "Proceed to Checkout" and follow the onscreen instructions. If you are using a credit card, you will need to fill out the form. If you are using PayPal, you will need to log in to your account.

  Return to the "Minecraft" home page. Click "In Browser" under "Minecraft Beta."
