How to Tank Patchwerk in World of Warcraft

"World of Warcraft" is a computer game that has had several expansion packs since its 2004 release. The 2008 pack, "Wrath of the Lich King," introduced a new level cap and new dungeons, including Naxxramas, featuring a raid boss named Patchwerk. Patchwerk's strong moves requires 10 players to handle fighting him, and you must have two tanks assisting with the fighting: one acting as a normal tank and one to soak extra damage.

Instructions

  Have one tank begin fighting Patchwerk.

  Allow Patchwerk to get three to five hits in before having the damage-per-second players join in. This allows the tank to get some damage in before the stronger attacks occur, delaying the Hateful Strike attacks Patchwerk delivers.

  Continue this until Patchwerk stops swinging his weapon. When he stops, he is about to perform a hateful strike.

  Have your main tank stop attacking Patchwerk. Have your second tank begin attacking him, bringing the threat on his head instead. This second tank will soak up the damage of the Hateful Strike, which deals triple the damage of the regular melee hit.

  Switch back to the main tank after the Hateful Strike, continuing this pattern until Patchwerk falls.
