Simple Configuration
After downloading the compressed "Powder Toy" Physics simulation game package, all you have to do is extract its contents and run the integrated applications, which are "powder-sse" and "powder-sse2." When the simulator console loads up on your machine, you are free to explore the explosive and torridly hot features of "Powder Toy."
Rules and Controls
To begin the game, run "Powder Toy" from your extracted folder named "the_powder_toy_geeks3d." Once it loads, you will be given instructions on how to play the game. Make sure you read the instructions quickly before it disappears from the "Powder Toy" window. All you need for the game are your mouse, keyboard and plenty of imagination to create your projects and enjoy "Power Toy."
Author and Current Maintainer
Stanislaw K. Skowronek created "The Powder Toy" in 2008 and placed it on a server he registered as "powder.unaligned.org." However, Skowronek took the site down for unknown personal reasons in 2010, but the project was taken over by Simon Robertshaw. The physics simulation sandbox was given a new home at "powdertoy.co.uk," and development of this simple and fascinating game continues.
Current Development
"The Powder Toy" is now in its 52nd version for Windows, Linux and Macintosh environments. Robertshaw and his co-developers have now added almost 150 elements to TPT, as of this writing, which makes the simulation game far from being boring. Many game inventors also found ways to enjoy the game even more by building cities, electrical plants, guns and ships, and lighting them up just for fun.
