How to Get to Hardcore 2 in Mario Forever

"Mario Forever" is a computer game remake of the original Super Mario Bros. game. You start out as Mario and must make your way through a series of levels in order to rescue Princess Peach. There are many additional levels hidden in the game, however, including the "Hardcore" levels. Hardcore levels feature hundreds of additional enemies waiting to destroy Mario in one hit. To unlock these levels, you must edit a special file that came with the game.

     Open the file "mafosav.exe" by opening "My Computer," "Program Files," "Buziol Games," then "Mario Forever." Right-click "mafosav.exe" and select "Open in Notepad."

     Change the text values to the following: "chlebent1=0, ata1save1=637, ata2save1=1236, ata3save1=12824, stringlev1=2."

     Save the file by clicking "File," then "Save."

     Open "Mario Forever." The first pipe will now say "Hardcore 2" above it. Jump in the pipe to begin the level.
