Why Won't My Cheats Work for Stronghold Crusader?

"Stronghold Crusader" is a 2002 real-time strategy game published by GOD games. Like most games in the genre, the real-time nature of the game can be frustrating to casual gamers. For these players, cheating can be a way to round off the hard edges that make the game to be less enjoyable. However, if you fail to activate the cheating option, the cheat codes will not work.

Enable the cheats
- The reason your cheats fail to work is almost certainly because you did not enable the cheats. To enable, go to the main menu hold down the "Shift", "Alt" and "A" keys on your keyboard. This will enable the cheats.
Cheats
- Once the cheats are enabled, you cab enter the cheats by pressing the proper keys on the keyboard. Pressing "Alt" and "C" will unlock all the missions, "Alt" and "X" will give free gold and set your popularity to 100 percent, and pressing "Alt" and "K" will make all buildings and units free to build.
Tower Glitch
- It's possible to use the tower glitch to cheat even if the standard cheats are not working. The tower glitch allows players to place an infinite amount of archers in their towers. Simply have your archer walk to the other side of the tower, and when they pass through the tower, press the "Stop" button. The archer will behave as if it is in your tower.
Tactical Pause
- The real-time nature of the game makes it so that decisions over unit builds and items sales/purchases have to be made while your enemy still moves. However, if you open a barracks or mercenary post and press the "P" on your keyboard, when you exit you will still be able to train units and do other economic tasks while the game world is paused. This works even when other cheats do not.
