How to Smelt Ore in LOTRO

"Lord of the Rings Online" is a free online role-playing game for the PC. There are a variety of professions to take in the game, such as the prospector. The prospector mines ore and creates ingots from the chunks of ore. The ingots are then used to build weapons, armor and jewelry. To create ingots from ore, the ore must be smelted at a forge and a smithing hammer, which is available from your profession trainer, is required. Only a prospector can smelt ore.

Instructions

  Travel to any major city in the game, such as Bree, Esteldin or Celondim.

  Travel towards the anvil icon on your mini-map, located in the top right corner of the screen. The anvil icon indicates where the forge is located in the city.

  Stand next to the forge.

  Press "T" to open your crafting panel.

  Select the type of ingot you wish to smelt. The ore required is listed at the bottom of the panel. For example, to create a bronze ingot, you need two copper ores and one tin ore.

  Click "Make" on the bottom right corner of the panel. The ore is automatically smelted and turned into an ingot, which is placed into your bag.
