How to Stretch the SSF Emulator Screen in Full-screen Mode

"SSF" is a computer emulator that allows users to play their Sega Saturn games on the Windows operating system. Since the original console had a much lower resolution than what computer monitors are capable of, the emulator will run in a windowed resolution by default. You can change this from the options menu, but the games will still run at a small size unless you specify that the image should be "stretched" to fit the whole screen.

Instructions

  Start the "SSF" emulator and then click "Option" from the file menu or hold down the "Alt" key and press "O." This opens the options menu where users can change configuration settings for the emulator.

  Click the "Screen" tab at the top of the options menu. Click the two checkboxes next to "Stretch Screen" and "Full Size" at the bottom of the options screen.

  Click the checkbox next to "Bilinear Filtering" to ensure that the graphics look better when played in stretched full-screen mode.

  Click "OK" to close the options menu. Insert your Sega Saturn game into the DVD drive or load it into your virtual drive. The emulator will automatically detect and run the game.

  Hold down the "Alt" key and press "Enter" to switch the emulator to full-screen mode. The game will now be stretched to fit the full size of the screen. If you have a widescreen monitor, this may appear distorted unless you also mark the "Enforce Aspect Ration" checkbox in the options.
