How to Help the Grandfather in Mabinogi Quest

Mabinogi is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game, or MMORPG for short. The game was created by Nexon, a game distribution company in South Korea. During the game, there are different types of quests the player can engage in; some quests require more than one gamer to participate, while others are for a single player. In 2010, a special Halloween quest was offered in which players help the grandfather. This quest caused some confusion as there was a typo that said "grandfather" but meant "father." The actual quest is to sketch the father's ghost. The grandfather is involved, however, after a series of sketches.

Instructions

  Log in to the Mabinogi game during the Halloween Quest, offered from October 20, 2010 until November 2, 2010. Read the briefing for the quest when logged in. The briefing is a correspondence from the Grandfather Ghost stating that he came for a picnic but is too old to get around. He asks you to take his place, then bring him a sketch of the picnic.

  Sketch the ghosts around the town in a specific order between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The ghosts are reported to appear at night, thus the time stipulation. The time corresponds to the in-game time, not actual time. All the ghosts you will sketch are in the town of Emain Macha in certain places.

  Acquire the sketching paper from other towns. Sketching paper is found in Qilla, Vales and Fillia. You only need to go to one of them to get the sketching paper, assuming you don't have any already.

  Go to the Bean Rua Pub (or Bar). Sketch the father's ghost at the pub. He will be just outside the pub near the entrance.

  Go to the restaurant next. Wandering around inside the restaurant you will find the mother's ghost. Sometimes she is seen outside, but almost everyone finds her inside the restaurant. Sketch her ghost.

  Find the sister's ghost at the castle. She is usually inside the gate but outside the castle itself. Sketch her ghost.

  Go to the auditorium. It looks like a place where a concert would happen, if you are having trouble finding it in the town. The brother's ghost is found drifting around the auditorium. Sketch the brother's ghost.

  Locate the grandfather's ghost at the town square. You do not have to sketch the grandfather's ghost. If you do it anyway, be certain you are not near 6:00 a.m. or you may run out of time. Talk to the grandfather's ghost to complete the quest.
