How to Build a Sequence in StarCraft

Building an army is a huge part of the real-time strategy game "Starcraft." To do this efficiently you can queue up a sequence of up to five units at Terran or Protoss production structures, and then perform other tasks while the units are built in the order you planned. This allows for the rapid production of forces while you tend to other matters, such as gathering the resources necessary to build them. This is a useful trick to master in the campaign mode, but almost essential if you want to compete in online multiplayer mode.

Instructions

    • 1

Start a game of "StarCraft" as either the Protoss or Terran race.

    • 2

Build a production structure, such as the Protoss Gateway or the Terran Barracks.

    • 3

Click on the production structure and look at the panel in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Click on the units in any sequence to queue them to build in that order.

    • 4

Wait for the construction meter for that building to fill completely for the first unit in the sequence to finish construction and production of the next unit to start.
