How to Get Gukimir Off My Team in Oblivion

"The Elder Scolls IV: Oblivion" has a game add-on pack called "The Knights of the Nine." During the course of this new adventure, players may add a new follower named Gukimir to their team. As is the case with most followers, it will no longer be desirable to have Gukimir follow you after his quest is completed. Generally, simply speaking with a follower is enough to make him leave your party; however, due to a bug in the game, it may be impossible to make him leave. By taking certain measures, you can get Gukimir off your team.

  Download the Unofficial Official Mods patch (see Resources).

  Unzip the Unofficial Official Mods patch zip file using a decompression program such as Winzip, WinRar, or UnRarX. If you have one of these programs or a similar one installed, simply double-clicking the file will cause it to unzip.

  Copy and paste the files inside the unzipped Unofficial Official Mods patch file to your "Oblivion" file.

  Start your "Oblivion" game and speak to Gukimir. Use the dialogue option to ask him to leave your party. Now that the bug is fixed through the mod, he will leave.
