How to Apply Hex Cheats to Diablo 2 for Money

"Diablo 2" differs from many other computer games in that it doesn't come with cheat codes. Most game developers purposefully set up easy-to-use codes that can be used by players to gain access to benefits, like auto character training and immortality. The developers of "Diablo 2" chose not to do this, forcing players to train their characters the hard way. There is a way, however, to bypass this situation and it involves using a hex editor.

  Load your hex editor and use it to open the saved game you want to edit. You can find it in the Diablo II/Save folder. The specific file will have a label dependent on what you named it during the save process, and an extension of .d2s.

  Locate the hex "0x00000265" using your hex editor. Attached to it will be an additional value in the form of letters and numbers, such as "9F86 0100." This is the hex code.
- 3
  Change the hex code to "FF FF." Save your file, exit and load up "Diablo 2." You will now have 65,000 gold pieces.
