How to Get Demoman Crits in Team Fortress 2

The Demoman class in "Team Fortress 2" specializes in explosive weapons. His primary weapon is a grenade launcher. This is usually complemented with a sticky bomb launcher, a weapon that fires bombs that can stick to walls or ceilings. These bombs are manually triggered by the Demoman, which makes them useful for creating traps for enemies. Unlockable weapons can be used to turn the Demoman into a more melee-focused attacker. Because of the high base damage of the Demoman's weapons, critical hits can usually kill most enemies in a single hit.

Instructions

  Fire any ranged weapon or swing any melee weapon. There is a random chance you do a critical hit (crit) with each attack. By default, ranged weapons have a 2 percent chance of doing a crit per hit and melee weapons have a 15 percent change of doing a crit per hit. The amount of damage you have done in the last 20 seconds increases this by up to 10 percent. You must have done at least 800 damage in the last 20 seconds to get the full 10 percent bonus. You cannot get crits in this manner on a server with the "No Crits" option enabled.

  Press the alt fire button to charge an enemy with the Chargin' Targe equipped as your secondary weapon while using any melee weapon. Your next melee attack is automatically a critical hit if your charge meter was full when you used the Chargin' Targe. It takes 12 seconds for the charge meter to fully charge up after each use. This time is reduced to six seconds if you are using the Persian Persuader.

  Attack during the Humiliation round after your team wins a game. All attacks are automatically crits for the winning team players.

  Attack after your team captures the intelligence briefcase in the Capture the Flag game mode. All attacks are automatically crits for 10 seconds after this occurs.

  Allow a Medic to heal you with the Kritzkrieg. All of your attacks are crits for eight seconds after the Medic uses his Ubercharge ability. This is a special ability for the Medic that charges up as he heals another player. You can see the Medic's Ubercharge meter when he is healing you. It can only be activated when his meter is completely full. The Uberchage from the Medi Gun and Quick-Fix does not improve your ability to perform crits.

  Walk into a pumpkin dropped by a player during the Halloween event on either the Harvest or Mann Manor maps. All of your attacks are crits for three seconds after picking up a pumpkin.
