How to Put Goldmines Down on Warcraft III World Editor

Players in the fantasy-based real-time strategy game "Warcraft III" can create their own maps using the game's world editor. The world editor allows players to place everything from units and buildings to various types of terrain. It also allows you to include resource nodes such as gold mines. Unlike units and buildings, gold mines are considered neutral objects, so you cannot place them when you have a player selected in the object palette.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the "Unit Palette" and select "Neutral Passive" from the drop-down menu.

    • 2

Click on the "Buildings" tab and scroll down until you find the gold mine. Click on it to select it. The gold mine should be stuck to your mouse cursor when you move it over the map screen.

    • 3

Select a location to place the gold mine and click on the terrain to put the gold mine down.
