How to Find Treasure Auras

In "World of Warcraft," treasure chests are a coveted find. Locating and opening a treasure chest can yield great rewards for players. The most difficult part of getting into a treasure chest is locating it in the first place. Treasure chests can be found throughout the game world and in dungeons, and many players simply stumble upon them. It is possible to track treasure aura on your mini-map by using the "Find Treasure" spell. This spell displays treasures in range directly on your mini-map.

     Create a dwarf character in the "World of Warcraft." "Find Treasure" is a spell available only to dwarves.

     Click the magnifying glass icon located next to the mini-map in the upper right corner of the screen.

     Click "Find Treasure."

     Explore the game world until you see a glowing gold dot in the mini-map. The dot represents a treasure chest.

     Right-click the treasure chest to open it. If the chest is locked, you will need a rogue whose lock-picking skill is high enough to open it.
