How to Use Traveler Mounts in World of Warcraft

Along with the fearsome Lich King in the "World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King" expansion came a less fearsome and far more furry entity known as the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth. As one of the many exotic mounts in the game, the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth offers you the opportunity to ride an enormous wooly mammoth and bring along two friends for the ride. Initially, two vendors fill the seats in the back, but you can boot them in favor of your friends.

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase the Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth from Mei Francis in Dalaran. The starting price of the mount is 20,000 gold, but you can lessen the amount by increasing your reputation with the Kirin Tor and by earning Bartering from reaching a guild level of 24.

    • 2

Right-click the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth that is now in your inventory to add it to your stable of mounts. Open your spellbook, click "Mounts" and right-click the "Traveler's Tundra Mammoth" to summon it. Upon summoning it, a small overlay of the mount will appear to the right of your screen, under the minimap. Three colored circles will appear on the overlay, with one in the front that indicates your position and two in the back indicating the two vendors.

    • 3

Right-click the vendors on the mount to bring up the vendor's inventory. You can purchase items from the vendors and sell items from your inventory. If you wish to eject the vendors from your mount, right-click the overlay.

    • 4

Invite friends to a group if you want people to join you for a ride. You can carry up to a maximum of two people, as long as both vendors are kicked off. Anyone who wishes to ride your mount must be in your party. You can eject people from the mount just as you can eject the vendors.
