How to Play A Gypsy's Tale: The Tower of Secrets

Learning how to play "A Gypsy's Tale: The Tower of Secrets" enables you to attempt to solve the game's various puzzles and ultimately break the curse on the secret tower. The protagonist of the game, Reylin, is hired by a monk to break the curse. But when it is broken a secret is revealed that puts her entire family in danger. The game has a simplistic point-and-click interface, and using the options around the screen enable you to get hints and travel quickly between locations.

Instructions

  Move your mouse to the location you wish to travel to. The mouse cursor will change into an arrow. Click the left mouse button to travel to the location you have selected. Each area has a certain amount of crystals to collect. These essentially work like money, to purchase items in shops. Look to the top of the screen, to the left of the area's name to see how many crystals there are to collect. Collect them all to get the map piece for this area.

  Click the map section to quickly return to the area once you have obtained the map piece for the area. Look in the bottom left hand corner of the game screen, to the right of the help circle, to access the map screen.

  Look at your journal, which is located at the bottom of the screen, slightly to the right. This tells you your current tasks. Use the up and down arrows to the right of the window to scroll up and down and view more tasks. Click on the hint circle in the bottom right hand corner of the game screen to get a helping hand in your current scene. Use the help button in the bottom left hand corner of the game screen to get a reminder as to what you should do.

  Hover the mouse pointer over a key object. The mouse pointer should change to gears or a hand, which indicates that you can interact with the object. Click the left mouse button to interact with the object. If a big circle appears, the object is locked by a hidden object puzzle. Pick the object up and place it inside the large circle by clicking on it. The items displayed in the panels around the circle need to be located to solve the puzzle.

  Look for a sparkle on the main game screen. This indicates a hidden scene. Place your mouse pointer over the area and see if it turns to a magnifying glass. If it does, click the left mouse button to see a close-up view of the area.

  Find a locked box or area and place the mouse pointer over it. If the pointer turns into a puzzle piece, this indicates that a mini puzzle is locking the area. Left click to open the puzzle. Click on the help button in the top left corner of the mini puzzle screen to see the instructions.

  Click on a person to speak to or otherwise interact with the person. The mouse pointer should change to a face when placed over a person. People may give you items, tasks or hints, but some just talk to you.
