How to Dig Faster in Minecraft

In "Minecraft," an open-world creation game, your character is expected to explore a three-dimensional world for valuable resources needed to make items for your arsenal. At the start of the game, you can only make a wooden shovel, which is unbearablly slow to dig through sand and dirt with. The only way to increase the speed of your digging expeditions is to get a shovel made of better materials, the best being diamond gems.

Instructions

    • 1

Right click any nearby crafting table in your home. This causes a three-by-three grid to appear beside a smaller square.

    • 2

Place a wooden stick in the bottom two squares of the center column.

    • 3

Place a material of your choice in the top square of the center column. In ascending order of speed, you can use cobblestone, an iron ingot, a gold ingot or a diamond gem. This causes a picture of the shovel to appear in the side square.

    • 4

Drag the shovel to your inventory to complete crafting.
