How to Get Across the Bridge in Curse of the Opera

Finding out how to get across the bridge in Nightfall Mysteries' "Curse of the Opera" is vital to getting into the main town and progressing in the game. "Curse of the Opera" is a mystery game starring an opera stagehand whose troupe is invited to perform a show in a small town. As they arrive in the town, members of the troupe begin to die, and the protagonist has to solve the murders and avoid being killed himself. Getting across the bridge at the start of the game requires a prop door and a branch.

Instructions

- 1
  Click on the carriage in front of you to enter it. The word "Opera" is written on the side of the carriage and it's in the center of the opening screen. Ensure you've picked up the paper from the bottom left of the screen and the notebook from the lower right. The notebook tells you your tasks and gives you a map of the town.

  Click on the wardrobe standing at the right hand side of the screen. The right door of the green wardrobe should swing open. Pick up the "Prop Door" from inside the wardrobe. Leave the carriage, walk behind it and exit to the left to go to the river.

  Look in the middle of the broken bridge for the pile of logs. Click on the logs to zoom in to the scene. Put the "Prop Door" down on the logs. The door will be placed down between your current platform and the logs. Walk across and grab the "Firewood" from the central leg platform.

  Walk back across the door and leave the scene to the left where the red arrow is pointing on the sign. You will be taken to a forest. Look slightly to the left to see a large tree. Pick up the "Gas Can" which is located just in front of the tree. Click on the bottom of the tree to enter the tree.

  Put the "Firewood" down on the campfire in front of you. Use the "Gas Can" on the fire to illuminate the interior of the tree. You can now see several items inside the tree. Locate the "Backpack," which can be found between the fire and the lute to the left of the screen. Click on it and pick up the "Axe." Go back outside.

  Click on the large branch of the tree to the left to zoom in on it. Use the "Axe" on the branch to cut it down. The "Branch" will now be in your inventory. Click to the bottom of the scene to leave and go back to the river.

  Walk across the prop door to the middle platform and use the "Branch" to finish the bridge. Walk across the branch to enter the town.
