How to Get a Good House Party Score on The Sims 2

"The Sims 2" allows players to create avatars called Sims and guide them in their daily lives. Throwing a party in "The Sims 2" gives your Sims the opportunity to mingle with multiple Sims at once, which improves their relationships with the Sims they invite. However, throwing a bad party can harm relationships with the other Sims and lower their social scores. "The Sims 2" also features a "Want" system in which Sims have goals they would like to achieve. If your Sim has a Want to throw a good house party, you will earn points toward unlocking special bonuses if you accomplish this goal.

  Select one of your Sims to make him the active Sim and click on a telephone to bring up the Throw Party option. Select the "House Party" option to bring up the invitation list. Select the eight Sims that you would like to invite to the party. The better the relationship level your Sim has with the invitee, the better chance she will show up to the party. Select a time for your party to complete the invitations.

  Prepare your Sim's house for the party by taking out any trash, cleaning any dishes and scrubbing the toilet. If you do not have time to do this, hire a maid from your telephone.

  Purchase party items beforehand to ensure a good party. You will find the party items under the party section in Buy Mode. Buy items like the Myshuno game to raise the fun level of the party and a stereo to play music. Other party items include party decorations, tiki bars and buffet tables.

  Provide your guests with food when they arrive. If you purchased a buffet table, click the table to serve the food. If you cannot afford a buffet table, have your Sim with the best cooking level cook a group meal prior to the party. You can also click on a telephone to order pizza for the party.

  Purchase toilet stalls for your bathroom so that multiple Sims can use the bathroom at the same time. If you cannot afford stalls, buy a cheap secondary toilet and create a small room for it using the Wall Tool.

  Greet each guest as he arrives and keep his mood up by talking with him and socializing. If you have music playing, you can click on another Sim to use the "Dance with" option and encourage the other Sims to join in. Click on the Myshuno game to start the party game and keep your Sims having fun. At the end of the party, you will be given a score based on the moods of your guests. If you keep their fun and hunger levels up you will receive a good party score.
