How to Retire in The Sims 2

"The Sims 2" is a life simulation video game released for the computer by Maxis in 2004. In this game, you create families and guide its members as they live their lives in their residential town. When working Sims grow to be elderly, you can have them retire without penalty at any time. This works similarly to the "Quit" option, but the option changes when an elder Sim performs an action. Retiring also lets you receive a pension, which varies depending on your career path and how many times you were promoted.

     Click the icon of your elderly Sim.

   • 2

     Click any phone inside your house. A radial menu will appear.

   • 3

     Select "Call Job," prompting another radial menu to appear.

   • 4

     Select "Retire." Your Sim will call his job and retire. He will immediately receive his earned pension in the family account.
