How to Play a Custom Campaign in the Age of Empire II

"Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings," a real-time strategy game for the PC, includes a large amount of scenarios based on historical battles. It also includes a robust scenario editor, allowing players to create scenarios which they can distribute for use in other "Age of Empire II" games. These scenarios can be played against the computer or against other players. After downloading a scenario, you must place it in the proper folder before you can play it.

  Click the "Start" button and click "Computer."

  Double-click the hard drive where "Age of Empires II" is installed.

  Navigate to the "Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Scenario" folder.

  Place the scenario file into the folder by either copying it, cutting and pasting it or dragging and dropping it in.

  Launch "Age of Empires II."

  Select "Custom Scenario" from the main menu.

  Select the scenario you just added to the "Scenario" folder to begin the game on your custom scenario.
