How to Play Dobby's Zombie Mod

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" is a first-person shooter game that has received a variety of user-created mods for the PC version of the game. One of the most intense and fast-paced mods is "Dobby's Zombie Mod," which recreates the zombie mode made popular in "Call of Duty: World at War," except in a modern-day setting with the "Modern Warfare" game engine. The mod is relatively easy to install and set up to play.

  Download "Dobby's Zombie Mod" for free from either ModDB or FileFront. The mod is available for free and is located in the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" mods directory. Once downloaded, the file will come in a compressed folder.

  Extract the contents of the compressed folder with the file extraction program of your choice, such as WinRAR, WinZip or ExtractNow. To extract the files, right-click the folder and click "Extract..." and then choose where you would like to install the files.

  Copy the three mod files "mod.ff," "z_zomdb_ext.iwd" and "zom.cfg" to the "mods" folder in your "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" folder. This can be located in a variety of places, depending on where you installed the folder during the installation process.

  Right-click on the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" desktop icon and click "Properties." A small window displaying information about the icon will be displayed.

  Add "+set fs_game mods/zom_db +exec zom.cfg" without the quotation marks to the existing text in the "Target:" line.

  Click "OK" to close the window.

  Open the file "zom.cfg" with the program Notepad. Customization settings for the mod will be displayed. Near the top of the document, there will be a line that will read "logfile 1."

  Change the "1" to a "0" in "logfile 1." This will allow the mod to be played in the game.

  Save and close the file "zom.cfg."

  Double-click the desktop icon to start the game and "Dobby's Zombie Mod."
