How to Make New Flat Rides in RCT3

Rides in "RollerCoaster Tycoon 3" (RCT3) are divided into two groups. While the customizable roller coasters are a major focus of the game, flat rides serve an important role. Flat rides usually cost less than roller coasters and occupy a smaller area of land. This allows you to get more rides in the same area, decreasing the amount of time visitors wait in line for attractions. The wide range of flat ride designs also allows you to build rides that appeal to any visitor, regardless of ride-type preferences.

Instructions

  Click the ride placement button. It is the button with a symbol of a Ferris wheel on it.

  Choose gentle rides, thrill rides, junior rides or other rides to see the flat rides you can place.

  Choose the flat ride you want to create from the menu that appears. The cost and base size are displayed next to the image of each ride. Unlike the track rides, you cannot change the size or design of flat rides.

  Move the mouse to move where the flat ride is to be placed in your park.

  Click the arrow symbol in the construction panel to rotate the ride 90 degrees counter-clockwise.

  Click the paint icon to change the color of the ride.

  Click the mouse to place the ride into your park.
