How to Install Monkey Island

"Escape from Monkey Island" was released by LucasArts in 2000 and required installation on a computer with Windows 95 or above. This was the fourth title in the "Monkey Island" video game series starring Guybrush Threepwood. Although the minimum requirements at the time of release stated that the game could be played on systems with Windows 95 through Windows 2000, the game can also be installed on machines running Windows XP.

  Load the "Escape Monkey Island" installation disc into your computer's optical drive.

  Wait for your computer to read the disc. If you have "Auto-Run" enabled, the installation program will launch automatically. If not, go to "My Computer" and double-click the disc drive's icon to launch the software manually.

  Read the instructions given by the installation wizard. You will be asked to choose an installation location -- this is the "Programs" sub-menu in the "Start" menu by default.

  Keep clicking "Next" on each screen to install the software using the recommended settings. The installation wizard checks your computer's capabilities before the installation process begins and will set the software up accordingly. Once all of these settings have been setup, click the "Install" button.
