How Do I Stop Water Pollution in SimCity 4?

"SimCity 4" is a simulation game that requires players to build and maintain a city. Water pollution occurs when a player builds industrial zones or farms near water sources. Water can become contaminated and cause residents of the city to protest or move away. When water is polluted, it will turn brown or black and you will have to build a water treatment plant to reduce the problem.

      Build trees and parks near industrial and agricultural zones. Trees help absorb and reduce pollution.

      Build water pipes and reservoirs away from areas of great pollution.

      Build water treatment plants away from polluted areas and connect water pipes to the plant.

      Build farms away from water sources or do not build them at all. Farms only offer a few jobs to your community and pay little to no taxes.
