How to Get Into DotA League

Defense of the Ancients (DotA) is a "Warcraft III" scenario. Unlike the main game, you don't need to gather resources. Instead, the game revolves around protecting your own Ancients and destroying your opponent's. In order to find players to play with who aren't just random players you find on Battle.net, you need to join a league. DotA league helps put together Single Instant Games (SIGs) for players, as well as ladder games for teams.

Instructions

  Go to the DotA League registration page and create a new account.

  Play in Single Instant Games (SIGs) first if you don't already have a team in mind. Get some experience in the league and make some friends. Most teams won't accept players until they've played with or against them.

  Join a team or form a new team of five players. The team leader must submit the team to DotA League.
- 4
  Join a league division. On Sunday, 19:00 league-time (UTC+1) you and your team will go head-to-head, tournament-style with all the other members in the division.
