LOTRO Legendary Traits

"Lord of the Rings Online," or LOTRO, is a multi-player game based on the popular Tolkien book series. Players can fight monsters, collect Middle-Earth artifacts and gain experience. In the gaming universe, characters can acquire special traits called legendary traits. These traits are obtained by completing certain quests and finding specific books in the game. Each character class in LOTRO can have three to four legendary traits.
  1. Legendary Traits for the Guardian Class

    • The Guardian Class has four legendary traits: "Challenge the Darkness," "Shield-Smash" and "Guardian's Threat to the King." The "Challenge the Darkness" trait enables a character to goad enemies into attacking. The "Shield-Smash" trait allows the use of a shield attack with extra damage. "Guardian's Threat to the King" focuses a character's attack on enemies.

    Legendary Traits for the Burglar Class

    • The Burglar Class has four legendary traits: "Exposed Throat," "Flashing Blades," "Sweep the Knee" and "Stick and Move." The "Exposed Throat" trait allows an extra attack when using the double-edged attack. The "Flashing Blades" allows two extra attacks when using a double-edged attack. The "Sweep the Knee" trait upgrades a trip to a tangle foot. The "Stick and Move" trait offers critical attack bonuses.

    Legendary traits for the Captain Class

    • The Captain class has four legendary traits: "Oathbreaker's Shame," "Defy Corruption," "Shield of the Dúnedain" and "In Defense of Middle-Earth." The "Oathbreaker's Shame" trait casts a curse on a foe. The "Defy Corruption" trait enhances the "Escape the Darkness" ability. The "Shield of the Dunedain" trait allows you to protect a companion. The "In Defense of Middle-Earth" trait inspires other characters around you.

    Legendary Traits for the Champion Class

    • The Champion class has four legendary traits: "Explosion of Blades," "Ferocious Strikes," "Fight On" and "Controlled Burn." The "Explosion of Blades" trait creates an explosion that hits nearby enemies. The "Ferocious Strikes" trait allows a character to make a triple strike during combat. The "Fight On" trait keeps foes from using their powers against you. The "Controlled Burn" trait increases damage and recovery abilities.

    Legendary Traits for the Hunter Class

    • The Hunter class has four legendary traits: "Rain of Thorns," "Bard's Arrow,"

      "Press Onward" and "Bow of the Righteous." The "Rain of Thorns" trait creates five thorns that attack nearby enemies. The "Bard's Arrow" trait allows the attack of the "Bard the Bowman," "Press Onward" and "Bow of the Righteous." The "Press Onward" trait allows a character to move onward without rest. The "Bow of the Righteous" trait offers increased recovery of power with bow attacks.

    Legendary Traits for the Lore-master Class

    • The Lore-master class has three legendary traits: "March of the Ents,"

      "Noble Savage Sword" and "Eagle Friend." The "March of the Ents" trait offers a powerful, nature-based attack on enemies. The "Noble Savage Sword" trait increases companion morale. The "Eagle Friend" trait summons eagles for aid.

    Legendary Traits for the Minstrel Class

    • The Minstrel class has four legendary traits: "Anthem of the Wizards," "Rally,"

      "Song of the Hopeful Heart" and "Fellowship's Heart." The "Anthem of the Wizards" trait allows a light to slow down nearby enemies. The "Rally" trait raises morale. The "Song of the Hopeful Heart" trait gives hope to nearby companions. The "Fellowship's Heart" trait cures fear afflicting the character.
