In the online game "Splinter Cell Chaos Theory," you play Sam Fisher, an agent working for Third Echelon, a secret government operation. When Japan requests Third Echelon's help to deal with its problems with North Korea and China, Sam is sent to discover the truth behind the conflict. Before you can get started on this journey of global espionage, you need to install the game on your computer.

  Press the "Eject" button on your computer's DVD drive. Place the "Splinter Cell Chaos Theory" disk in the tray and close it. The Autorun setup menu appears.

  Click "Install Splinter Cell Chaos Theory." Select a location where you want to install the game on your computer.

  Click "Yes" at the prompt when asked if you wish to install DirectX 9.0c. If you know that you already have this version of DirectX or a higher version, click "No." The game is installed.

  Double-click the "Splinter Cell Chaos Theory" icon on the desktop to start the game. Alternatively, click "Start," "Programs" and "Ubisoft." In the menu that appears, click "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory" and then "Play Splinter Cell."
