How to Install Transformer Mod V.2.5 for GTA: San Andreas

Like all the games in the series, "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" is customizable in several ways. The games support a variety of modifications, including customizable cars, weapons, players, maps and textures. Any mod with an IMG ending must be installed using a program known as an IMG editor. Several editors are available, including IMGTool, IMGed and Spark, and should be installed before downloading a "Transformer" mod. Mods for "GTA: San Andreas" can only be installed in PC versions of the game.

  Download a mod containing characters from the "Transformer" films. These mods are usually free, and can be found online.

  Open your IMG editing program. Open the file named "gta3.IMG," located inside the "models" folder of the San Andreas game folder.

  Add the mod file to "gta3.IMG," if the mod calls for it. In most vehicle mods, the IMG file must replace a current one. For this, select edit, then search for the file to be replaced (most often listed in the readme file in the new mod folder).

  Click replace, usually found under commands or utilities. Select the new mod and press ok. Exit the IMG editor and restart your game -- the "Transformers" character will automatically appear in place of vehicles throughout.
