How to Get More Honor Points in WoW

In the massively multiplayer online game, "World of Warcraft," player-versus-player, or PvP combat, is one of the key features of the experience. High-level players can participate in numerous battlegrounds, open-world combat zones or closed arenas against members of the opposing faction. Honor points are one of the primary rewards for victory in PvP combat and can be used to purchase armor, weapons and other gear that enhances a player's performance and survivability on the battlefield. Knowing how to acquire honor points is essential to maximizing the PvP experience.

  Press the "H" key or click the "Player vs. Player" button at the bottom of the screen in between the "Guild" and "Dungeon Finder" buttons. A PvP window will open.

  Click the "Honor" tab at the bottom of the new window, if it is not already selected. This will display all the ways you can acquire honor points.

  Find "Tol Barad" in the list of battlegrounds at the top of the window. Battles take place in this open-world combat zone every 2 1/2 hours and award a great deal of honor points to the winning faction. Check how much time is left until the next battle begins.

  Press the "Join Battle" button -- if it is available -- to enter the Tol Barad queue. Wait for a window to pop up prompting you to enter the battle and accept the invitation.

  Compete in the Tol Barad battle by defending the three flag points or attacking them, depending on who won the last battle.

  If Tol Barad is not available, select the "Random Battleground" option in the PvP window list and press the "Join Battle" button. Victory in a random battleground will reward you with more honor points compared with a specifically selected battleground.

  Wait for the pop-up window to appear in the middle of your screen, prompting you to join the battle and accept. Gain victory by completing battleground-specific tasks. Each battleground is different.
