How to Get the Cleaned the Mean Streets Achievement in Grand Theft Auto IV

You'll be ridding the city of criminal activity with the "Cleaned the Mean Streets" achievement in "Grand Theft Auto IV" for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. As you earn this achievement, you take the role of a vigilante police officer, tracking down and eliminating criminals. To earn "Cleaned the Mean Streets," you'll have to obtain a police car. Once you're behind the wheel, you can use the car's computer to locate evildoers.

Instructions

  Play through the game until you've completed Roman Bellic's "Crime and Punishment" mission. This will open up the game's Vigilante Missions.

  Locate a police vehicle and enter. Access the computer by tapping "Left Bumper" on your Xbox 360 controller or "L1" on the PlayStation 3 while the vehicle is at a complete stop. Open the computer's "Current Crimes" menu. Activate one of the three displayed missions.

  Check the map and follow the waypoint to locate the criminal activity. Your target will be on foot, in a vehicle or part of a gang. Eliminate him to finish the mission.

  Re-enter the police car and use the computer to obtain another target. Eliminate 20 criminals to earn the achievement.
