How to Use Soundboards in TF2

You may want to utilize a soundboard while playing the first person shooter video game "Team Fortress 2" (TF2) online over the chat program Ventrillo. A Soundboard is a collection of audio clips you can play through Ventrillo to both humor allies and harass enemies. You'll have a set of different audio clips to choose from depending on what soundboard you use. These clips can include celebrity quotes, music snippets or comedic anecdotes.

Instructions

  Find, download or create a set of soundboard files. There are many pre-built soundboards available online that have been created for easy and quick use. You can also create your own .wav files for use as a soundboard.

  Open Ventrillo and select Bindings-->New. Name the binding "TF2 Soundboard" and select "OK."

  Create the wave file path by selecting "Add" on the bottom left corner of the bindings dialogue. Select "Wave File" from the audio function window.

  Set the key binding for the soundboard by choosing "hotkey" and then pressing the key you want to bind the hotkey to. Be careful not to select a key you already use as a hotkey in TF2. Choose which file you want to bind to the selected key when the "Edit Wave File" window opens.

  Save your bindings by clicking "OK." Repeat these steps to bind more soundboard files to your keys. You now have a personal soundboard set to each selected hotkey.
