How to Extract HL2 Textures

Extracting the textures from the "Half-Life 2" game files allow you to modify them to, for example, create your own character or prop skins, which are customized textures. Textures are images which cover a blank three-dimensional (3-D) model. "Half-Life 2" is a first-person shooter video game from Valve Corporation which allows you to develop and integrate your own skins into the game. To extract "Half-Life 2" textures, you can use a special application, GCFScape, which allows you to browse through the game's files.
