How to Get a Record Deal in Sims: Ambitions

"The Sims 3: Ambitions" is an expansion pack to "The Sims 3" where the player has direct control over the career path of a Sim. If you have a Sim with an interest in music, one of your career goals is to try to obtain a record deal. You must meet several requirements before you can get this achievement.

  Purchase a guitar, then go downtown to the theater to get a position in the music career.

  Talk to neighbors that come to visit and speak to any guests to make friends. Go to community locations and speak to strangers. Call or visit them occasionally to keep these people on friends level. You need at least seven friends for a record deal.

  Practice on your guitar as often as possible. You must reach a level five before you can get a record deal.

  Purchase a lot next to your home and select "community" instead of "residential." You must have "The Sims 3: Late Night" installed to build a night club. Go back to the town view, click "Edit," then "Change Lot Type" to "exclusive/vampire/fusion lounge." Build your night club to your specifications. You must have a minimum of two sinks, two toilets, a lot value of $70,000 and a professional bar to perform.

  Make your Sim as happy as possible before she goes to work. Make her take a shower, get plenty of rest, eat a full meal, go to the bathroom and have a little fun playing a game or watching TV before she leaves home.

  Go to work happy every day. After you meet the requirements, getting a record deal is all based on luck. You might get one the first night, or you may need to continue going to work happy.
