How to Play Aion

NCSoft released "Aion," a multiplayer online role-playing game, for the PC in 2009. Players journey to the land of Atreia as a Daeva, a human character with wings sprouting from his back. Many different functions, such as talking, movement and attacking are mapped to the keyboard and mouse. In addition to these basic functions, "Aion" also gives players the ability to fly. Knowing the basic instructions and how to play "Aion" is vital to your success in the game.

Instructions

  Use the "W," "A," "S" and "D" keys on your keyboard to move your character. "W" moves your character forward, "S" moves him back and the "A" and "D" keys move your character left and right respectively.

  Press the "." key to toggle between running and walking. Press the "NumLock" key to automatically run in the direction you are facing.

  Press the "P" key to open your character window. Here, you can equip your character with weapons and armor. You can also view your characters statistics from this screen, such as strength and vitality.

  Press "K" to open your skill window. Skills are used to deal additional damage to enemies or heal yourself in battle. Left-click and drag a skill icon to your toolbar, located at the bottom of the screen, to quickly access your skills.

  Press "I" to open your inventory window, where you can view your current amount of gold and all items you have collected.

  Press "J" to open your quest window, where you can view any available quests and the requirements to completing them.

  Press "M" to open your map.

  Press the "PageUp" key to open your wings. Press "R" to fly higher and "F" to fly lower. Press "PageDown" to stop flying. You can only fly once your character has reached Level 10.

  Right-click on a non-playable character (NPC) to interact with them. Right-clicking on a merchant allows you to buy and sell items, and right-clicking on a NPC with a blue arrow over his head allows you to receive a quest.

  Complete quests by performing the necessary requirements. For example, you may need to slay 10 of a certain type of monster or deliver a package to a neighboring town. Upon completing a quest, you are awarded gold, experience and items.

  Right-click on an enemy to attack them. Left-click any skill in your toolbar to use it in battle. An enemy is defeated when his health bar, located at the top of the screen, is depleted.

  Monitor your health and magic bars at the bottom, left corner of the screen at all times. When your health bar, which is colored red, is depleted you are defeated and sent to the nearest town. When your magic bar, colored blue, is depleted you can no longer use skills.

  Defeat enemies and complete quests to gain experience. Your current experience is located at the bottom of the screen as a light blue bar. When this bar is full, your character gains a new level, becoming more powerful.
